The bridge work still hasn't started.
The Alward government said construction would resume on the Harbour Bridge and One Mile House interchange Monday...but there's nothing happening. Transportation Minister Claude Williams says the new company, Horseshoe Hill Construction, is finalizing its construction plans. Horseshoe Hill is a new company set up by executives from the original contractor, Concreate USL, which is now bankrupt. Williams says the new company will be paid monthly for work that's been completed so taxpayers are protected.
