ATV deaths soaring

The number of ATV deaths in the province is at its highest level in four years. RCMP say drinking and a lack of helmet use are major factors in the deaths of eight people while riding ATVs so far this year. Eight people were killed in all of last year and five in each of the previous two years. RCMP Staff Sgt. Stephane Caron says the deaths this year were totally preventable tragedies.
