University student dies in swimming accident

Divers recovered the body of a 22 year old Nigerian student from a local swimming hole near Musquash known as the Gorge. The name of the UNBSJ student is not being released until his family is notified.
Police got a call Wednesday evening that the man had jumped ten metres from a bridge into the water and didn't resurface. He was swimming with friends...admitted to them he wasn't a strong swimmer, but wanted to jump off the bridge the way they had. They said no...but he insisted and never surfaced.
